Learn the basics of Knitting with Emma - 6th April 2024

Would you like to begin your knitting Journey or refresh your skills on the basics of knitting? The Basics of Knitting Workshop is ideal for you!

The workshop will focus on working through

Making a slip stitch to commence your work
2 different methods of casting on (getting stitches on your needle to begin) including the Backward loop cast on and the Knit cast on.
Learning the knit and purl stitches and completing 2 mini sample swatches

- (Knit stitch-Garter)

- (Knit 1 row purl 1 row -Stockinette)

Casting off (Binding off the stitches to take stitches off the needle)

All participants will receive a handout of knitting terms as well as having the opportunity to look at some beginner sample patterns that include the practiced stitches and terms

Duration:

Saturday 6th April 2024 from 9am to 12pm.

What to bring:

4mm needles either single point or circular

8ply yarn for swatches

We will be offering 10% off none already marked down items to all persons participating in the workshop.

Classes and Covid-safe:

You are respectfully asked not to attend if you are feeling unwell.

We require a minimum of 3 people for this workshop to go ahead.
