Meet Tess – Founder of Fluff and Nonsense

Tess started this business in Melbourne, Australia, in June 2022. She can’t sit still — TV or movies are only enjoyable when she has something in her hands. Her brain simply won’t let her do nothing, so she knits… or crochets.

Her love of fibre began early. Her mum taught her to knit when she was 10 or 11, though her first scarf was a holey, scratchy disaster! She didn’t really pick it up again until her early twenties, when her sister-in-law gave her a second chance at knitting. She made her now-husband a wonky patchwork blanket for Christmas — a gift he still treasures today.

Over the years, Tess has fallen in love with beautiful shades of yarn, endless project possibilities, and the textures you can create. Wanting to share this passion, she carefully curates her fibre and colour collections so you can enjoy them too.
