Some years ago, I dreamt of offering a yarn that was 100% Welsh, from sheep to skein—and this is that dream realised.
This is the first-ever batch of an exclusive, fully traceable local yarn, made from Beulah Speckled Face sheep that graze the fields surrounding my studio. This flock is very close to my heart, and I treasure the time spent with them, especially during lambing season. Hence the name Trysori, the Welsh word for treasure—to cherish.
Spun at a family-owned mill less than 40 miles away and dyed in my studio using natural plant extracts, this yarn is as local as it gets: 100% Welsh wool, grown, spun, and dyed in Wales.
A soft woollen-spun yarn full of character and charm, it has a gentle “bite” without being overly rustic. Ideal for colourwork, steeking, and everyday projects where structure and tradition shine.
