Introduction to Spinning – Drop Spindle, Wheel & E-Spinner
Try the ancient craft of spinning and create your very first yarn from fleece.
In this full-day, hands-on workshop, you’ll gain practical experience using a drop spindle, spinning wheel, and e-spinner. This introduction is designed for complete beginners who are curious about exploring the different tools and techniques used to transform fibre into yarn.

What You’ll Learn:
• Fibre preparation techniques
• Blending colours using a blending board or drum carder
• Drafting fibre
• Spinning using the park-and-draft method on a drop spindle
• Short draw spinning on a wheel
• Plying techniques
• Finishing your handspun yarn
What to Bring:
All equipment and fibre will be provided for you to explore throughout the workshop, including a variety of spinning tools and fibres.
All yarn created during the workshop is yours to keep.
