Introduction to Tunisian Crochet

Discover the fascinating world of Tunisian Crochet and expand your creative horizons!

This unique technique blends elements of both crochet and knitting, using a long crochet hook to create beautifully textured fabrics. In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Tunisian Crochet, including how to start, key foundational stitches, and how to maintain even tension.

You’ll also explore how this method creates a thicker, softer, and more spongy fabric that resembles knitting, while still working with the ease of crochet.

Who’s it for?

This workshop is perfect for crocheters of all levels who are ready to learn a new technique. It is particularly suited to advanced beginners looking to expand their skillset and explore new project possibilities.

What You’ll Learn:

• Tunisian Simple Stitch
• Tunisian Knit Stitch
• Tunisian Purl Stitch
• Tunisian Full Stitch
• Working with colour changes in Tunisian Crochet

The focus will be on practising each stitch and building confidence with the technique.

From here, you’ll be able to progress to projects such as coasters, washcloths, scarves, cowls, and blankets—ideas for these will be discussed during the workshop.
