Begin your Weaving Journey on a Rigid Heddle loom
In this full day workshop, we will cover the basics of weaving on a Rigid Heddle loom. This class is suitable for absolute beginners.
We will guide you through the fundamentals of weaving through this practical hands-on class.
You will have the opportunity to learn:
The parts of the Rigid Heddle Loom
How to calculate yarn requirements
· how to direct peg warp a Rigid Heddle loom
· how to efficiently wind your shuttle
· techniques for straight edges
· how to change colours
· how to finish a piece to remove it from the loom without it unravelling
· Common weaving terms and techniques
· about other weaving accessories

Class Specifics:
You will be provided with 2 x Fiddlesticks Wren 8 ply Cotton Yarn
You will use one of our shop looms throughout the workshop.
A 10% workshop discount will be offered to class students on the day- this discount is not applicable on the loom.
