Kids School Holiday Workshop – Learn to Weave
A fun and beginner-friendly workshop where children will learn the fundamentals of weaving in a relaxed, creative environment.
We will guide you through the steps of weaving in this practical hands-on class.
You will have the opportunity to learn
• The parts of the rigid heddle loom and their use
• Weaving language
• How to efficiently wind your shuttle
• How to make straight edges
• Practical weaving techniques through completing a sampler.
-You may choose to make your sample into mug rugs or a placemat or just experiment with the weaving process
• how to weave with 2 colours.
• How to complete your woven piece to remove it from the loom
Age Group: 10–12 years
Please note: An adult must remain on the premises for the duration of the workshop.
