Get ready to experiment, play and discover the wonderful world of texture in weaving!
Join John from Fancy Yarns for a fun and creative workshop exploring how different fibres, yarns and materials can be combined to create beautiful and interesting textures in your woven projects.
You’ll learn how different fibres behave when woven and how to use texture, colour and fibre variations to add depth and personality to your work. During the class, you’ll create a couple of mug rugs, giving you the perfect opportunity to put your new skills into practice.
And the best part? Bring your own scraps! You’re encouraged to raid your stash and bring along those little bits and pieces you’ve been saving. Different yarns, fibres and textures can all create something unique, so don’t be afraid to bring a variety of treasures.
Whether you’re new to weaving or looking to explore new ways of working with fibre, this is a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you can experiment, get creative and have fun with texture.

100gm approx of bits and pieces from your stash - go deep diving and bring along your scraps. As many different textures are encouraged :)
